And they’re back, in full force, with arguably one of their best lineups yet. Laneway, with its Silo Park residency being under threat are back despite it all for another installment on the Auckland Waterfront. Always seemingly on the insiders tip on who'll be who over the coming years, this year will be no different.
Having a look at the lineup, we couldn’t be more excited. Last year boasted FKA Twigs, Flying Lotus, Angus and Julia Stone, JUNGLE, and Jamie XX. However, we feel this year covers all the bases, offering everyone something to look forward to, no matter what you're into.
Here’s the low down for all you need to look forward to.

Who to look out for:
This comes as a surprise to me. After headlining some of the bigger festivals like RnV and Holy Ship, Harley Streten's popularity has gone through the roof. He featured on the lineup in 2013, alongside Alt J, before his breakthrough as one of the great electronic artists of the decade. We can't be more excited for this one.
Returning for their second year at Laneway, Scottish electronic gurus CHVRCHES are known for their indie electronic good feel vibes, and their new album “Every Open Eye” is ready for release on September 25th. We love it. They love it. Listen below.
Speak of the Devil, Hyperparadise, Ukiyo. This young duo have been making small steps to stardom since the early 2000's, and are another Electronic inclusion to the stunning Lineup.
Another one out of Scotland, Hudson Mohawke has gone by a number of aliases through the years. Ross Burchard makes one-half of TNGHT, and is a key producer behind much of the music we hear today. After working with the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Azealia Banks, and Drake (tears), he’s had a bit of experience under Kanye's label GOOD Music as a producer.
At only 22 years of age, Vince Staples has had close association with Odd Future members Earl Sweatshirt and Mike G, and came into the public eye after working with Odd Future and Mac Miller on the project 'Stolen Youth'. Straight out of Long Beach, California, Staples is definitively one to follow the rise of.
Claire Elise Boucher dubs her style as “ADD Music”. After getting involved in the underground scene while at Uni in Montreal, this Canadian electronic artist is pumping out shifty, swiftly changing tunes - any beat or percussion she'll be tapping her foot to.
