ANNUAL VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW
I’m honestly just a sucker for this shit. Gorgeous girls with Barbie-like proportions strutting down a glittery runway in extravagant lingerie and angel wings. The VSA’s (Victoria’s Secret Angels for those of you who aren’t familiar and lack powers of deduction) are literally like angels when they walk in this show. I feel kinda stupid for enjoying this show so much, but this is my one guilty pleasure in the realm of fashion. I also sort of wanna see Ariana Grande get smacked in the face by an angel’s wings. (Apparently they edited this out of the telecast, I'm mad.)
In the background you can see my queen, Adriana Lima. (x)
APPLE HIRING NEW “FASHION CONSCIOUS” EMPLOYEES FOR APPLE WATCH LAUNCH
As y’all already know, I am a complete sucker for the fusion of fashion and technology. I don’t have a Wi-Fi tattoo for no reason. I’m diehard with it. Apple is allegedly searching for retail workers with a “fashion or luxury background” and are treating their upcoming watch as more of a fashion accessory than a tech item. Apple’s design chief took the watch to Paris to show Karl Lagerfeld, and it’s already been featured on the cover of Vogue China. Reports have been pointing to a Spring 2015 release if you’re planning on getting your hands on one of these.

ZOELLA ADMITS TO NOT WRITING ‘GIRL ONLINE’ ALONE
Zoella is a Youtube vlogger who gained notoriety online from her beauty tutorials, sold over 78,000 copies of her novel ‘Girl Online’ in its first week of sales – a figure which allegedly eclipses the debut of J.K Rowling. People noted the similarity between her debut novel and the writing style of another author, Siobhan Curham, and Zoella has since said that she ‘had help’ writing her novel. I’ve put this under the ‘That’s Not’ category because I have no time for ghostwriter bullshit. If you can’t write, that’s cool. Don’t write. Getting other people to write a novel for you is just sad. Stick to vlogging.
NEW YEAR, NEW TRENDS
I’m not looking forward to the barrage of articles about 2014 trends that were good/bad/confusing, or the follow-up articles about predicted 2015 trends. Maybe this is just because I don’t understand people who seek to be ‘trendy’. Who reads a style article and decides that because tea-length skirts are ‘in’ they’d better start wearing them. Love yourselves. Love your bodies. Dress accordingly. Carve out your own style niche and figure out what suits you, rather than blindly following recycled ‘trends’ that will allegedly be popular this year. Thank you, this has been a PSA from yours truly.
WE’RE STILL TALKING ABOUT
The fashion world is obsessed with keeping up with this particular Kardashian. I know she’s technically a Jenner, but I had to throw that pun in there. From scathing letters about her come-up in the modeling world to commentary on her relationships with other models like Cara Delevingne, people refuse to stop talking about her. To be honest, I like her because of the amount of shit she has to deal with. Yeah, she might come from a reality star family and had a relatively ‘easy’ life compared to most, but 2014 was undeniably her year. Regardless of your stance on her, you’ve probably talked about her. Here’s a nice video of her getting into the Christmas spirit for LOVE magazine’s model advent calendar.
Here's a screencap from said video.
